Unlike many other cancers, endometrial cancer is rather a cancer of good prognosis. Because it is often found early, the cancer is often treated successfully by surgical treatment.
The overall 5-year relative survival rate for years 1999-2005 was 82.9%. The survival rate, however, varies by race. During that same period (1999-2005), five-year relative survival rates by race were:
- 84.7% for white women
- 61.3% for black women.
